Last night I was out in the streets shooting for one of my wonderful commercial clients, NPRP Media. They manage the street marketing campaigns of the Eileen Fisher clothing design house. It’s always wonderful being on assignment for them. After I finished up my work last night I waited for the traffic lights to sync up on both directions and give me a chance to stand in the middle of Lasalle Street and get this shot of the Board of Trade. If you aren’t from Chicago but are a movie buff you’ll recognize it from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Batman Begins, The Dark Night, The Untouchables, Road to Perdition, Man of Steel, or Transformers: Dark of the Moon. I am more of a noir film gal myself, so I am transported to late nights with private eyes solving mysteries when I see this gorgeous Art Deco buildings like these in our city. That’s Ceres, the goddess of grain sitting atop this landmark building. I can’t wait to show you more shots from my recent outings. Though, I do have to give you this disclaimer… don’t do what I did, kids! Standing in the middle of the street to take amazing photos is highly unadvisable! Seriously, have you seen what The Joker did to this street the last time he was driving on it?!
